The link above is a real example of a teacher incorporating blogs in the classroom. Both teachers have a blog along with the students! The main idea that the teachers were trying to get out of this is to have another means of communication and also to see student feedback. Another reason that these teachers blog is to see "what they are learning and how they are learning."
I find this very beneficial because not all children feel cofortable speaking out in class with questions and/or concerns so this allows them to do so in an agreeable fashion. Secondly, I like the idea of associating blogs in the classroom because this lets parents really see what is going on. This ensures parents how their child is doing at school and what upcoming evens are. Lastly, I think that blogs can really improve student/ teacher relationships in an appropriate manner because it allows them both to feel comfortable discussing school realted topics!

I think your blog is great! We both agree that blogs could improve student and teacher relationships! Keep blogging!
ReplyDeleteI agree with the use of the classroom blog that you found. I for one do not like speaking out within a class. I also like the aspect that parents can see what is happening.
ReplyDeletei agree that it is beneficial for students how are not comfortable speaking in the classroom. I also like how parents are able to see what is happening in the classroom without having to bug the teacher all the time.
